The Culture and Nature in Education program seeks to transmit knowledge of the Ladakhi natural and cultural world to young school children through a range of mediums. Two guided nature walks for students were organised with the Government High School, Kharnakling and another with Rigjung Public School which were led by YNL. Students were introduced to butterfly and birdwatching in the Spituk and Shey marshes areas.
A month long theatre workshop was organised in 2023 for students of the Government High School, Kharnakling which was led by Tsering Yangchan. Students performed a play titled Yul tsa Gatpo and the Lakes on the creation of the lakes on the occassion of World Environment Day in the presence of Chief Guest, Shri Tundup Nurbu, Councillor, LAHDC and Smt RIgzen Angmo, ZOnal Education officer.
